That said, Woods Canada’s sleeping bags, or “robes,” as they were called in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, are perhaps the most iconic piece of outdoor gear in our entire catalog. Our robes have a long and storied history spanning back over a hundred years and were used on the Amundsen Northwest Passage Expedition (1906) and the Stefansson Canadian Arctic Expedition (1913-1918), among other cutting-edge wilderness missions.
